Gallium-Nitrate

This page provides scientific and technical information on gallium nitrate, and especially the bio-medical uses of gallium nitrate in the treatment of bone/joint diseases in horses such as navicular disease. Perhaps the first thing to mention is that both gallium and nitrate are found in food. Gallium is a metallic element (#31), and it follows copper and zinc on the periodic table of the elements. Since it is a mineral, it can be considered a dietary supplement, or drug, as the company may choose following appropriate FDA regulations.
